Econyl is obtained from plastic waste from the sea and from carpets that would otherwise go to landfill and is processed into a fantastically durable and sustainable fiber. Nylon waste is returned to its original structure and spun into a new material. Impressive savings in crude oil and the avoidance of CO₂ emissions can be achieved in this way. The choice of yarn therefore helps to reduce environmental pollution and avoid having to produce new materials.
